If you haven’t heard by now, several months ago, while waiting on the runway for his plane to depart, Alec Baldwin was playing the wildly popular mobile app, Words With Friends, on his smart phone. The American Airlines passenger jet had been sitting on the runway for over an hour and had not moved, so Mr. Baldwin continued to play a few rounds of the game.
The airline stewardess requested that he stop playing the game and turn off his phone, until the plane had taken off and the captain had cleared the cabin for electronic device usage again. Mr. Baldwin continued to play his game. Even though the plane had sat in the queue, waiting for departure for well over an hour, the stewardess was insistent on the rule. Mr. Baldwin eventually got up out of his seat and went into the plane’s restroom with his phone, presumable to continue his game of Words With Friends. Ultimately, Alec was escorted off of the plane, which caused even further delays for the passengers still on the plane.
You may have seen a few airplane jabs and punch lines in a few of his commercials over the last few months, most notably featuring a re-enactment of Braveheart with the Visigoths for Citibank. Continuing to not fly American Airlines, Alec Baldwin opted to catch a Palm Springs flight with his fiancée, by way of Jet Blue. Before Mr. Baldwin found a hassle-free airline home, it might have been a good idea to use a few hint sites like Words With Friends Cheat, to speed up turns and remain in compliance with airline rules.
What a douche. TURN OFF YOUR F**KING PHONE, A**HOLE!
My thought, exactly!
You would have done the same. Just case it was someone else you complain. Tsk tsk. Your not that special.
It’s not a runway you where on, dufus, it’s called a taxiway. You never wait on runways more than a few seconds.
Really, why turn off the phone if the plane isn’t moving for over an hour! WTG Alec!
